NDR2 hat heute gegen 22:30 Uhr "Shadow on the Wall" der Proben (in Antwerpen) für die Mike Oldfield Deutschlandauftritte der Nokia Night of The Proms gesendet. Anscheinend war es ein Auszug aus der kommenden CD (Siehe Amazon Werbung hier oben rechts auf der Seite) Kommentare im Oldfield Board Wenn sich populäre Klassik und Pop-Klassiker treffen, Stars wie Mike Oldfield, OMD und Ike Turner sich die Mikros teilen, ein Sinfonieorchester und ein Chor mit einstimmen, dann geht es - natürlich - um die legendäre Night of the Proms. Auch in diesem Jahr präsentiert NDR 2 das Konzert-Highlight, das aus einer Studentenparty in Antwerpen hervorgegangen ist und jetzt riesige Hallen füllt. Am 1. Die CD mit Stücken von Mike Oldfield soll am 1.12. erscheinen. Pünktlich zum Start der Deutschlandkonzerte der Nokia Night of the Proms 2006. Die Setlist ist übrigens noch Geheim und soll Überaschungen beinhalten. Das Orchester hat Oldfields Werke komplett neu arrangiert. Sony BMG bestätigt heute auf der eigenen Webseite die VÖ einer CD NNOTP 2006. Aus den unglücklich bereitgestellten Informationen der kommenden CD lässt sich sich die Setlist von Mike Oldfield´s Auftritten erahnen. In einem Satz heisst es "Die CD beinhaltet Klassiker wie "Shadow On The Wall", "To France", "Moonlight Shadow" In der CD-Tracklist steht: " 15 - Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn - 05:25 16 - Mike Oldfield & John Miles - Shadow On The Wall - 04:44 17 - Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells - 08:04 Einige Aufnahmen sollen bereits bei den Proben in Antwerpen gemacht worden sein. From the spanish forum on http://p200server.us.es/mikeoldfield/respuesta.asp?idforo=10&idtopic=1590 , the guitar that you can see on the NOTP pics from the last post is a Line 6 Variax Model 700,which is an electroacoustic guitar(like the Ovation Adamas). More info about the guitar and its technical aspects on http://www.line6.com/variaxacoustic. Update(03/11/2006): according to a member of Tubular.net forum, that electroacustic guitar belongs to Dirk Hohmeyer's wife and was lent to Mike since he hasn't got a decent guitar to use on the NNOTP concerts.Dirk sent it to London,where Paul Humphries(OMD) got it and later on Richard Barrie(Mike's technician) picked it up and then the guitar was sent to Antuwerp.
